Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About digestion system
An umbilical hernia occurs when part of the intestine pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall near the belly button. It often appears as a soft swelling that becomes more prominent when a child cries or strains. While some cases may resolve on their own, others can lead to complications such as pain, vomiting, or intestinal blockage if the bowel becomes trapped. Treatment involves a simple surgical procedure to repair the defect and prevent serious outcomes.

Background
Musa Saidu Usman is a 5-year-old boy from a low-income family, living with his parents and three siblings. His father, a sachet water vendor, works hard to support the household on a monthly income of about ₦23,000. Despite these challenges, Musa is cheerful and full of dreams, aspiring to become a pilot and lift his family out of poverty. He presented with a swelling at the umbilicus present since birth, which becomes more noticeable when he cries or strains. Recently, he has experienced episodes of vomiting and abdominal pain, raising concern for possible complications. He was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia, now showing signs suggestive of intermittent intestinal obstruction. Surgical repair has been recommended to prevent further complications, pending support from the Helpster Charity Foundation.
