Muhammad Ali Mohd is a 9-year-old boy from a socioeconomically disadvantaged family. His father lost his livelihood years ago due to insurgency, and his mother now sustains the household through small-scale trading with limited income. Despite these hardships, Muhammad remains active and playful, though his condition has begun to affect his comfort and daily activities. He presented with a right-sided groin and scrotal swelling present since infancy, which increases in size with standing or straining. Recently, he has experienced discomfort during activity, along with episodes of vomiting and abdominal pain suggestive of intermittent obstruction. He was diagnosed with a right inguinoscrotal hernia. Surgical repair has been recommended to prevent further complications, pending support and approval from the Helpster Charity Foundation.

MOHAMMAD, a 9-year-old male, presented with history of progressive enlarging right inguino scrotal swelling, occasionally accompanied by pain and mild obstruction. After thorough evaluation, he was diagnosed with right inguinoscrotal hernia. He underwent successful hernial repair surgery without immediate complications. Following a 3-day hospital stay for close monitoring and post-operative care.Muhammad,recovered well and was discharged home with a scheduled follow-up appointment for 1 week. He has since fully recovered and resumed regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

Muhammad presents with a longstanding inguinoscrotal hernia now showing features suggestive of intermittent obstruction, indicating an increased risk of incarceration and bowel compromise. Surgical repair is necessary to prevent progression to an emergency situation. With timely intervention, the prognosis is excellent, with expected full recovery and restoration of normal function. Delay in surgery, however, increases the risk of serious complications.
