Four-year-old Aliyu Mohammed Badamasi is a cheerful boy living with his displaced family in Bayan Layi Kasuwa. He finds great happiness playing with his favorite toy cars. He is a helpful little brother who dreams of becoming a policeman. Mohammed’s bright spirit and big goals shine through, even while his family relies on aid to get by. Family income is 9,000 with no access to electricity, no latrine, and uses community borehole. Four-year-old Aliyu suddenly fell ill with a high fever, chills, and severe weakness that left him unusually quiet and unable to play. Along with a persistent headache and loss of appetite, he began vomiting, causing his parents to become deeply concerned about his declining energy. When his family sought help at ADARI, medical staff carefully evaluated his symptoms and lack of recent illness history. Doctors officially diagnosed him with acute malaria and immediately began treatment with antimalarials, IV fluids, and vitamins.

Aliyu, a 3-year-old boy, was admitted on 28/03/2026 with malaria and typhoid fever. He received antimalarial medications, appropriate antibiotics, intravenous fluids, blood tonics, and supportive care under close medical supervision. After three days in the hospital, Aliyu was discharged on 31/03/2026 in stable condition. His fever resolved, his appetite returned, and he regained his strength. Aliyu is experiencing fever, loss of appetite, general body weakness, and vomiting, which has kept him out of school in the interim. he appears moderately dehydrated and very uncomfortable. Prompt treatment of acute malaria, possibly with moderatedehydration, is crucial to prevent serious complications. Treatment of severe Plasmodiasis have good prognosis and health status will significantly improve to enable him to return back to school for his studies.
