Divinegrace S., 2

Divinegrace is a 2-year-7-month-old boy from Gataku Village in Nasarawa State, where he lives with his parents and sibling in a modest home. His family survives on a very limited income from small farming and petty trade. Despite these challenges, Divinegrace is usually a lively child who loves to play and make everyone around him laugh. He developed persistent fever, weakness, poor feeding, and high body temperature. When home treatment did not help, his mother brought him to the hospital. After evaluation, he was diagnosed with severe malaria and typhoid fever. He received appropriate treatment, recovered well, and was later discharged.

Somen upon being presented to our facility by the caregiver, the caregiver narrated all the visible symptoms manifested by the the child, he was presented for laboratory investigation. The child was diagnosed with severe Malaria and Typhoid. He was treated with injectables which was well tolerated for three days. The child has since been discharged with oral medication and is recovering well. The parents are so happy to have received free treatment for their child and grateful to Helpster Charity.

With timely and appropriate treatment, the prognosis is generally favorable. Most children respond well within a few days, with gradual resolution of fever and improvement in overall condition. Child’s response to medications: Absence of complications (e.g., severe anemia, neurological involvement, intestinal complications) If treatment is adhered to and follow-up care is maintained, the child is expected to make a full recovery without long-term complications.
