Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About diagnostics
Haifa suffers from chronic upper airway obstruction caused by enlarged adenoids. The enlarged adenoids partially block the airway behind the nose, making it difficult for her to breathe normally. As a result, she experiences episodes of breathing difficulty, particularly during sleep. If left untreated, the condition can affect her sleep quality, growth, overall health, and daily activities. Medical evaluation confirmed that the enlarged adenoids are the primary cause of her symptoms, and treatment has been recommended to restore normal airflow and improve her quality of life.

Background
Haifa Wangaro is a cheerful 3-year-old girl who lives with her parents in the Umoja area of Nairobi. She enjoys playing with other children and is described by her mother as bright, friendly, and eager to learn. Her family looks forward to seeing her regain good health so she can start school, pursue her education, and one day achieve her dreams. Shortly after birth, Haifa began experiencing episodes of breathing difficulty, particularly while sleeping. Concerned about her condition, her parents sought medical care. After a comprehensive evaluation, doctors diagnosed her with chronic upper airway obstruction caused by enlarged adenoids, which were partially blocking the airway behind her nose. No other significant abnormalities were found. Doctors have recommended treatment to relieve the obstruction, improve her breathing, and enhance her overall health and quality of life.
Prognosis
According to the doctor, treatment is expected to significantly improve Haifa’s breathing by removing the obstruction caused by the enlarged adenoids. Following treatment, she should be able to breathe more comfortably, sleep better, and enjoy improved overall health and quality of life. Better sleep and oxygen flow will also support her growth, development, learning, and participation in normal childhood activities. If left untreated, the enlarged adenoids may continue to obstruct her airway, leading to persistent breathing difficulties, poor sleep, recurrent infections, daytime fatigue, and potential delays in growth and development. Over time, the condition could have a negative impact on her overall well-being and daily functioning.
