Six-year-old Nasiru, fell ill three days ago with a high fever, vomiting, and extreme weakness. His parents grew quiet and lethargic, losing his interest in play and exploration. Medical tests confirmed a diagnosis of severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum parasite, which required urgent intervention. Nasiru is currently under close medical care receiving treatment and monitoring to stabilize his condition and help him regain his playful spirit.
Medical history
Nasiru, a 6-year-old boy, was admitted on 30/03/2026 with severe Plasmodium falciparum malaria. He was promptly started on antimalarial medications, intravenous fluids, antipyretics, and supportive care, with close monitoring of his blood counts and overall condition. After three days in the hospital, Nasiru was discharged on 02/04/2026 in good condition. His fever subsided, his strength returned, and he made an excellent recovery. He was able to return home and gradually resume his normal childhood activities Thanks to Helpter Charity for sponsoring the treatment of Nasiru.
