Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology
Raiyan Farhan has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia, a serious infection that affects the lungs and the tiny air sacs (alveoli), making breathing difficult. This condition causes symptoms such as cough, fever, chest discomfort, and shortness of breath, which can become severe in young infants. In babies, pneumonia can progress rapidly, reducing oxygen supply to the body and causing extreme weakness. Without prompt and proper treatment, severe pneumonia can become life-threatening and may lead to serious complications or death.
Thank you for saving this life!

Background
Raiyan Farhan is a gentle one-year-old child living with his young parents, who do not have a permanent home and survive in very fragile conditions. His father works at a fruit shop and earns only around 6,000 BDT per month, which is not enough to cover even basic needs, making medical treatment unaffordable for the family. Raiyan is a beloved child, but his illness has made him weak and struggling to breathe, causing deep concern for his parents. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana and came to Narayanganj Poly Clinic seeking help. Without timely treatment, his condition could become life-threatening, leading to severe breathing problems, serious infection, and risk to his life.
Medical history
Raiyan 1 year-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months, but this time, his condition worsened as he developed severe pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, his health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with salbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. He was given a blood transfusion because his hemoglobin level was low. He was admitted on 29/3/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 3/4/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed, He is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, his parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic ; we are forever grateful for your support!"
Prognosis
Doctors have recommended immediate hospitalization, intravenous antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care to treat Raiyan’s severe pneumonia and stabilize his breathing. With timely and proper treatment, the infection can be controlled, his oxygen levels can improve, and he can gradually recover and continue normal growth and development. Close medical monitoring is especially important at his young age to prevent complications. However, if left untreated, severe pneumonia in a three-month-old baby can rapidly worsen, leading to respiratory failure, spread of infection in the bloodstream, or even death. Early and complete treatment is critical to save his life and protect her future health.
