This means he is suffering from a serious infection affecting his whole body as well as his lungs, causing high fever, cough, and difficulty in breathing. He requires prompt medical treatment and close monitoring to control the infection and support his breathing for a safe recovery.

Background
Abdullah Al Mahfuj is a calm and gentle 6-year-old boy who enjoys playing football and dreams of growing up strong and healthy. He lives with his parents and two young siblings in a small tin house, where his father, Luthfur Rahman, is the only earning member with a limited monthly income of around 7,000 BDT, making it difficult to afford proper medical care. Despite his cheerful nature, Mahfuj is now seriously ill with enteric fever and pneumonia, leaving him weak and struggling with breathing difficulties. Without timely treatment, his condition could worsen, leading to severe infection, respiratory complications, and potentially life-threatening outcomes. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema and is now seeking support to ensure his recovery.
Medical history
Abdullah All Mahfuz, a 6-year-old calm boy, was admitted to Seba Hospital on 4 March 2026 with a diagnosis of enteric fever and pneumonia. He received treatment under the care of a pediatrician for 7 days. During his hospitalization, he was provided with all necessary supportive therapy and was closely monitored by doctors and nurses. He was discharged on 11 March 2026 with medical advice. At the time of discharge, the patient’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Ema and the Seba Hospital team.
Prognosis
With timely hospitalization, parenteral antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care, Mahfuz’s infections can be effectively controlled, leading to gradual improvement in breathing and reduction of fever. Proper treatment will help restore his strength, improve his ability to fight infection, and allow him to return to his normal daily activities. Close monitoring in the hospital will ensure that any complications are identified and managed promptly, increasing his chances of full recovery. However, if left untreated, the infections may worsen, leading to severe respiratory distress, spread of infection throughout the body, and life-threatening complications. In such conditions, delay in treatment can be critical and may put his life at serious risk.
