Ismota Khatun is a 32-year-old mother who lives with her husband, teenage daughter, and elderly mother-in-law in a small tin-shaded house. Her husband works as a day laborer and earns only around BDT 5,000 per month, which is barely enough to provide food and basic necessities for the family, making the cost of specialized maternity care impossible to afford. Despite their hardships, Ismota is a caring and resilient woman who is eagerly waiting to welcome her second child and hopes to give her children a better future. During her pregnancy, doctors discovered that her baby is in a breech position, placing both mother and baby at increased risk during delivery. Without timely medical intervention, complications such as obstructed labor, fetal distress, birth injury, excessive bleeding, or even loss of the baby could occur, putting both mother and child in danger. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital and is now seeking support for a safe delivery.

Ismota Khatun was admitted to the hospital on 03/04/2026 at 36 weeks of pregnancy after doctors diagnosed her with a breech presentation, which made a normal delivery risky. Considering the potential complications associated with this condition, doctors performed a planned Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS), and the surgery was successfully completed, resulting in the safe birth of her baby. Following the operation, Ismota Khatun received proper medical care, medications, and postnatal support. Both mother and baby gradually recovered in stable condition and responded well to treatment. She was discharged from the hospital on 06/04/2026 in good health. Ismota Khatun and her family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team at Life Care Hospital for their generous support and timely assistance in ensuring a safe delivery and the well-being of both mother and child.

Doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to safely deliver Ismota Khatun’s baby due to the breech presentation. With timely surgery and appropriate medical care, a safe delivery is expected, after which Ismota can gradually recover and care for her newborn and family. The procedure will help reduce the risks associated with breech presentation and ensure a safer outcome for both mother and baby. However, without proper treatment and delivery management, there is a significant risk of complications during labor, including obstructed labor, fetal distress, birth injuries, and other life-threatening emergencies.
