Awana is an 18-year-old from a financially constrained household who lives with his parents and six siblings. He supports his family through domestic and small-scale activities and hopes to become a pilot in the future. He presented to UMD with a sudden onset of abdominal pain that initially started around the umbilical region and later localized to the right lower abdomen, becoming severe and persistent. This was associated with fever, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite, which eventually left him too weak to carry out his daily activities. At the hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed with acute appendicitis. He underwent successful surgery and recovered well without complications.

Awana, an 18 year-old boy, presented with a sudden onset of right lower abdominal pain, nausea, accompanied by vomiting, fever and he became very uncomfortable for the past 24 hours After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Acute appendicitis. He underwent successful Appendectomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care.He recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

The patient was presented with classical signs requiring urgent appendectomy. Delay increases risk of rupture and sepsis. Prognosis is good with early treatment. Emergency surgery is the best option to save him from potential complications.This will improve his wellbeing and also brings joy to his parent.
