The heart condition (CHD) may affect normal blood flow and contribute to breathing difficulties and low energy. In addition, hypothyroidism can slow his growth and overall body functions. Together, these conditions require regular medical care, monitoring, and treatment to support his development and health.

Background
Tahsin Islam, a 1-year-old boy, lives with his widowed mother, two brothers (4 and 18), and a sister (14) in a small room in Market Bihari Camp, where his mother works as a housemaid with very limited income, making it difficult to meet basic needs or afford medical care. Despite these hardships, Tahsin is a precious and gentle child who brings hope to his family, but his illness has made him weak and unable to grow and develop normally. He is suffering from breathing difficulty and developmental delay, which require proper medical treatment and regular care. His mother is deeply worried but cannot bear the cost of treatment due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach program and sought help, as without timely care, his condition may worsen, affecting his growth, breathing, and overall survival.
Medical history
Tahsin Islam was admitted to Al Manar Hospital on 07-04-2026 due to his breathing difficulties, delayed development, and overall weak condition. Upon admission, doctors carefully evaluated him and started necessary treatments, including oxygen support, medications, and close monitoring to stabilize his condition. Over the next few days, he received continuous care for his respiratory issues and management of his underlying conditions. Gradually, his breathing improved, oxygen levels became more stable, and he started responding positively to treatment. With proper medical support and care, Tahsin showed noticeable improvement in his condition. On 11-04-2026, he was discharged from the hospital in a stable condition .
Prognosis
With timely hospitalization under a pediatrician, supportive care, and close monitoring, Tahsin Islam’s condition can be managed to improve his breathing, growth, and development. Proper treatment will help control complications from his heart condition and thyroid problem, allowing gradual improvement. However, if left untreated, he may develop severe breathing problems, poor growth, and delayed development.
