Nozim, a proactive 7-year-old child, lives with his parents and siblings in a small makeshift shelter as a forcibly displaced family, where his father has limited and irregular income, making it difficult to meet even basic needs or afford medical care. Despite these hardships, Nozim is an active and curious child, but his illness has caused pain and discomfort, affecting his daily activities. He has been suffering from swelling in both groin areas, now diagnosed as bilateral inguinal hernia, which requires proper treatment. His parents are deeply concerned but cannot bear the cost due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Mizanur Rahman and sought help, as without timely treatment, his condition may worsen, leading to severe pain, complications, and life-threatening risk.

Nozim Ullah, a 07-year-old male child, was admitted on 28.04.2026 with complaints of Bilateral scrotal swelling, associated with intermittent groin pain and swelling for one year at Orion Hospital through Helpster volunteer Ali Azad. He stayed in hospital for 05 days. On admission, a thorough clinical examination and necessary investigations were performed to confirm the diagnosis. The patient was diagnosed with a right-sided reducible incomplete direct hernia and subsequently underwent herniotomy (inguinal hernia repair) under General Anesthesia. Post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and follow-up, was provided to ensure full recovery. He remained hospitalized for four days, and the operation was performed on 30.04.2026. The patient was discharged on 03.05.2026 in a stable condition with medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Doctors have recommended a herniotomy (inguinal hernia repair) to correct Nozim's condition and prevent further complications. With proper postoperative care, including pain management, wound care, and regular follow-up visits, he is expected to make a full recovery and return to normal childhood activities without pain or restriction. The procedure will relieve his recurring discomfort, improve his appetite, and allow him to grow and play like other children his age. However, if left untreated, the hernia may become trapped or obstructed, cutting off blood supply to the intestine and leading to a life-threatening emergency. Timely surgery will not only restore his health but also protect his future well-being and development.
