Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About emergency care
Md. Jishan Hossain has been diagnosed with pneumonia along with Erb’s palsy. Pneumonia is causing a lung infection, leading to fever, cough, and difficulty in breathing, which has made him weak and uncomfortable. Erb’s palsy affects the nerves of his left arm, resulting in reduced movement, weakness, and difficulty in lifting objects. Together, these conditions have impacted both his breathing and physical ability, requiring timely medical care and close monitoring for recovery.

Background
Md Jisan, a 7-year-old boy, lives with his parents and two sisters in a modest home near Market Bihari Camp, where his father’s income of 8,500 BDT as a day laborer is barely enough for daily needs, making medical treatment unaffordable. He is a gentle and hopeful child who attends a local madrasa, but his long-standing arm weakness and recent illness have made him weak and unable to play or study properly. He developed fever, cough, and breathing difficulty and was diagnosed with pneumonia along with Erb’s palsy affecting his left side. His parents and sisters are deeply worried but feel helpless due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp and sought help, as without timely treatment, his condition may worsen, leading to severe respiratory complications and permanent loss of arm function.
Medical history
Jisan Hossain was admitted to the hospital on 07-04-2026 with high fever, cough, and breathing difficulty, along with his long-standing problem of Erb's Palsy. During his hospital stay, his fever gradually reduced, his breathing improved, and his cough became less severe. The medical team also advised supportive care and exercises for his arm condition to help improve movement over time. After several days of treatment and careful observation, Jisan showed significant improvement and was discharged on 12-04-2026 in a stable condition,
Prognosis
With timely hospitalization under a pediatrician and orthopedician, along with conservative management, nebulization, and supportive therapy, Md. Jishan Hossain’s condition can improve. Treatment will control the lung infection, ease breathing, and support recovery of his arm function. With proper follow-up, he can return to normal activities and studies. However, if left untreated, pneumonia may worsen, causing severe respiratory distress and life-threatening complications. Erb’s palsy may also lead to permanent weakness or loss of arm function, making timely treatment essential.
