Mohammed Yeamin is a 9-month-old baby boy who lives with his parents in a modest bamboo and tin house in a coastal area of Bangladesh. His father works as a pickup van helper and is the sole earning member of the family, but his irregular income is barely enough to cover their daily needs, making it impossible to afford emergency medical treatment. Yeamin has been suffering from severe pneumonia, high fever, and breathing difficulties, which have left him weak, irritable, and unable to feed properly. As an infant with a history of low birth weight, he is especially vulnerable to complications, and his condition requires urgent medical care and oxygen support. Without timely treatment, his breathing problems could worsen rapidly, leading to severe complications and putting his life at risk. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Abu Sayeed.

Md Yeamin, a 09-month-old infant, was admitted on 21.04.2026 to Orion Hospital with complaints of severe cough with difficulty breathing, high-grade fever for seven days, along with reduced feeding and irritability. The patient was admitted through Helpster volunteer at Orion Hospital, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. On admission, detailed clinical evaluation and necessary investigations were conducted. The patient was diagnosed with Severe Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) with hypoxemia. He was managed with hospitalization under close monitoring, including oxygen therapy for hypoxemia, appropriate pharmacological treatment, correction of fluids and electrolytes, and adequate nutritional support to ensure recovery. The patient remained hospitalized for a total of seven days and was discharged on 25.04.2026 in stable condition with proper medical advice and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Doctors have have advised immediate hospital-based treatment including oxygen support, antibiotics, fever control, and close monitoring to stabilize his condition. With timely and proper medical care, there is a strong chance of recovery, and he can gradually return to normal health as the infection clears and breathing improves. However, if left untreated, the infection may rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure, spread of infection in the body, and life-threatening complications, which may even result in death.
