Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About emergency care

Tanisha Islam has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia along with acute gastritis. Severe pneumonia is a serious lung infection that causes cough, fever, and difficulty in breathing, affecting oxygen supply in the body. At the same time, acute gastritis is causing abdominal pain and discomfort due to inflammation of the stomach. These combined conditions have made her weak and require prompt medical treatment and close monitoring to ensure recovery and prevent complications.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Tanisha Islam, a 12-year-old girl, lives with her family in a small overcrowded shelter in Geneva Camp, where her family struggles financially and cannot afford proper medical care. She is a quiet, polite, and caring child who loves to draw and dreams of becoming a teacher, but her illness has made her weak and unable to attend school or help her mother. She became seriously ill with cough, abdominal pain, and weakness, and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia with acute gastritis, requiring urgent treatment. Her family is deeply worried but unable to bear the cost due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp and sought help, as without timely treatment, her condition may worsen, leading to severe infection and life-threatening complications.

Medical history

Tanisha Islam, aged 12 years, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. on 11 April 2026 at 12:41 PM with severe pneumonia with acute gastritis. During her hospital stay, she received conservative treatment, medicines, and close medical observation. She remained admitted for about 5 days and showed improvement with treatment. She was discharged on 16 April 2026 with medicines and advice for follow-up care at home. Tanisha and her guardian are grateful for the support received during her treatment and recovery.

Prognosis

With timely hospitalization, antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive care, Tanisha Islam is expected to improve as the lung infection is controlled and her breathing stabilizes. Treatment will reduce fever, ease abdominal pain, and help her regain strength to return to school and normal activities. However, if left untreated, pneumonia may worsen, leading to severe breathing difficulty and spread of infection. Gastritis may also increase pain and weakness. These complications can become life-threatening, so timely medical care is essential.
