Evangeline is the youngest in a family of three children, with both parents alive. Her father works as a motorcycle rider, while her mother is a homemaker. She is a cheerful and playful child, known for her bright smile and love for playing. Her mother reports that Evangeline was in good health until 8th April 2026, when she became dull and developed a fever. In response, her mother gave her an unknown white medication obtained from a neighbor, which provided only temporary relief. Over the following days, her condition worsened, with symptoms including persistent crying, vomiting, fever, and cough. The mother initially sought prayers from their pastor, but as there was no improvement, she brought Evangeline to the hospital on 11th April 2026 for medical care. Evangeline's mother learned about Helpster Charity through a flyer at a local pharmacy. Evangeline is currently admitted and receiving treatment.

Evangeline was brought to the hospital with chief complaints of hotness of the body,cough crying alot vomiting among others.She was promptly attended to where samples were taken to laboratory for investigation and a diagnosis of malaria and pneumonia was made.She was commenced on IV antibiotics and Artesunate and antipyretic medications.She responded so well to the treatment and on day 5 upon completion of iv drugs she was discharged home on oral medication to continue care at home.She was discharged in a stable condition able to play as shown on the after treatment media and could eat well.She went back with her mother to join her other siblings at home.

Evangeline is critically ill with severe malaria and severe pneumonia, both of which can be life-threatening, especially in a young child. The combination increases the risk of complications such as respiratory distress, anemia, and dehydration, requiring close monitoring and aggressive treatment in hospital. With prompt and appropriate management, including antimalarial therapy, antibiotics, and supportive care, her condition can improve. If she continues responding well to treatment, the prognosis is cautiously optimistic since they took quite a long time at home as the disease progressed and got worse.
