Yeasin is a 1 year and 6 months old boy with a disability, living in extreme hardship with his mother, who is his sole caregiver as his father is currently in jail. With no stable income and facing social stigma, the family has been completely isolated, making it impossible for his mother to afford even basic medical care. During this desperate time, Helpster volunteer Abu Sayeed found Yeasin in a critically ill condition while his mother was crying by the roadside seeking help, and immediately arranged to take him to Orion Hospital by Helpster Volunteer Abu Sayad, where he was admitted under the supervision of Major Dr. Mahbubunnessa for urgent medical care. Despite his mother’s deep love and dedication, Yeasin’s condition remains severe—if he does not receive timely treatment for acute pneumonia, his breathing difficulty may rapidly worsen, leading to life-threatening complications or even death. Without continued medical support, this vulnerable child risks losing his chance of survival, leaving his already distressed mother completely devastated.

Arafat, a 1.6-year-old child with disability, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 12.04.2026 in critical condition with severe acute pneumonia and respiratory distress, requiring immediate medical attention. Under close medical supervision, he received comprehensive treatment including oxygen therapy, appropriate medications, fluid and electrolyte management, and nutritional support to stabilize his condition. Over the course of five days of hospitalization, his condition gradually improved, and he responded well to the treatment provided. He was discharged on 17.04.2026 in stable condition with prescribed medications and follow-up advice for continued recovery at home. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, volunteer Abu Sayeed, and the dedicated hospital team for their timely support, compassionate care, and financial assistance that played a crucial role in saving Arafat’s life.

Doctors have advised immediate hospital-based treatment including oxygen support, appropriate antibiotics, and careful monitoring to stabilize Yeasir’s breathing and control the lung infection. With timely and proper treatment, including supportive care and follow-up, there is a good chance of recovery, and the child can gradually return to normal growth and activities. However, if left untreated, the infection may rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure, widespread infection in the body, and critical complications that can ultimately result in life-threatening consequences or even death.
