Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About digestion system
Mohammad Mahim has been diagnosed as right sided congenital Hernia. A Congenital hernia is a birth defect where a portion of the intestine protrudes through a weakness or incomplete closure in the abdominal wall or inguinal canal due to improper fetal development. It usually presents as swelling in the groin that increases with crying or straining. If untreated, it may cause pain, feeding difficulties, irritability, and limited movement, and can lead to serious complications such as incarceration, strangulation of the intestine, and intestinal obstruction.

Background
Mohammed Mahin, a 6-month-old baby boy, lives with his parents and seven young siblings in a small makeshift shelter in the Rohingya refugee camp, where his father struggles to provide even basic needs for the large family. Despite their hardship, Mahin is a fragile and innocent child who has been suffering from painful swelling in his groin since early infancy, making him irritable and unable to feed properly. His parents are deeply worried but cannot afford treatment due to extreme financial limitations and lack of resources. They learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Mohammed Abu Sayeed and sought help. Without timely treatment, his condition may worsen, leading to severe pain, complications, and life-threatening risks.
Prognosis
Doctors have recommended an elective herniotomy under general anesthesia, along with proper pre-operative assessment and post-operative wound care, as the best treatment for Mohammed Mahim’s condition. This surgery will repair the swelling in his groin and relieve the pain and discomfort he experiences during crying or movement. With timely treatment, Hasan is expected to recover well and grow normally like his twin brother, allowing him to feed comfortably and develop in a healthy way. However, if the condition is left untreated, the swelling could worsen and the intestine may become trapped, causing severe pain and a life-threatening emergency. Early surgical care will therefore greatly improve Hasan’s quality of life and protect his future health.
