Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology

Liton Hossain has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia along with bullous disease. Severe pneumonia is a serious lung infection causing high fever, persistent cough, and significant breathing difficulty, which can reduce oxygen levels in the body. The bullous disease has led to fluid-filled skin lesions that are painful and prone to infection. Together, these conditions have made him very weak and require urgent medical treatment and close monitoring to prevent life-threatening complications.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Liton Hossain, a 19-year-old boy with a physical disability, lives with his parents and elder sister in a small room in Geneva Bihari Camp, where his father earns a very limited income as a rickshaw puller, making it difficult to meet daily needs or afford medical treatment. Despite his challenges, Liton is a quiet and resilient young man who depends on his family’s care and support. He became seriously ill with prolonged fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and painful skin lesions, leaving his family deeply worried. His parents and sister are doing their best, but they cannot bear the cost of treatment due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach and sought help, as without timely treatment, his condition may worsen into severe infection, respiratory failure, and life-threatening complications.

Medical history

Liton Hossain was admitted to the hospital on 12-04-2026 in a very critical condition, suffering from high fever, severe cough, breathing difficulty, and painful skin lesions. The doctors immediately started treatment with strong antibiotics, oxygen support, and proper wound care for his skin condition. Over the next few days, his fever gradually reduced, his breathing became easier, and the skin lesions started to heal with regular dressing and medication. The medical team closely monitored his condition and also conducted necessary tests to rule out other serious diseases. With continuous care and support, Liton showed significant improvement and was finally discharged on 21-04-2026, bringing relief and hope to his worried family.

Prognosis

With timely hospitalization, antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive care, Liton Hossain is expected to improve as the lung infection is controlled and his breathing stabilizes. Treatment will reduce fever, ease cough, and help heal the skin lesions, allowing him to regain strength. However, if left untreated, pneumonia may worsen, leading to severe breathing failure and spread of infection. The skin lesions may also become infected, increasing complications. These conditions can become life-threatening, so timely medical care is essential for his recovery.
