Zainab A., 18

Zainab is an 18 year old young woman from a financially struggling family. Her father survives on irregular manual labor, while her mother engages in small scale petty trading just to support the household. She is one of seven children, and the family often finds it difficult to meet even their basic daily needs. Despite these challenges, Zainab is known to be quiet, responsible, and deeply supportive of her family, often helping her mother with household and trading activities. Her dream is to become a female Lawyer in the future. Zainab was reportedly in her usual state of health until she began experiencing a dull, persistent pain in the lower abdomen, which she initially ignored, thinking it was something minor. Over the following days, the pain gradually intensified and became constant, accompanied by fever, general body weakness, and loss of appetite. She found it increasingly difficult to carry out her daily activities, and even simple movements worsened the discomfort. Due to financial constraints, the family tried to manage her at home with local remedies, but her condition continued to deteriorate. When she became visibly weak and unable to function normally, they grew concerned and eventually sought assistance through Helpster for proper medical care. She was evaluated to have Pelvic Abscess and had emergency exploratory laparotomy, post operative treatment and discharge home with follow up appointment.

ZAINAB,a 18 year-old teenager, presented with lower abdominal pain, fever, accompanied by general body weakness,her symptoms worsen due to untreated longstanding pelvic inflammatory disease and she eventually became very weak and uncomfortable for the past 24 hours.After thorough evaluation and investigation, she was diagnosed with Pelvic abscess. She underwent successful Exploratory laparotomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of her condition, she was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care.She recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, she is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed her regular activities. Zainab and her family are grateful and they appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

On careful evaluation, Zainab appears significantly unwell, with clinical features strongly suggestive of an advanced pelvic infection that has likely progressed to abscess formation due to lack of proper treatment. Abscess is a life threatening condition that require an emergency treatment. She will be admitted for surgery and post operative treatment. With timely intervention she will have a favorable outcome and her health status will significantly improve.
