Md. Kobir Hossen is a hardworking and determined 15-year-old Madrasha student who dreams of continuing his studies and building a better future despite his family’s poverty. His father works as a day laborer with very limited income, making it impossible for the family to afford costly emergency surgery and hospital expenses. Kobir suddenly became seriously ill with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and fever, which forced him to stop studying and left his family deeply worried after doctors diagnosed him with ruptured appendicitis. After learning from nurse Kulsum about Helpster’s support for poor patients, his father contacted Helpster volunteer Bablu Abdullah and sought urgent help for his son’s treatment. Without immediate surgery and proper medical care, the infection may spread inside his abdomen and lead to severe complications and life-threatening conditions.

Md. Kobir Hossen was admitted to Mother Clinic on April 6, 2026, with complaints of right-sided abdominal pain. After thorough medical evaluation, he was diagnosed with burst (perforated) appendicitis. On the same day, the attending doctors successfully performed an emergency appendectomy. Following the surgery, Kobir remained in stable and good condition. During his hospital stay, he was cared for and supported by his father, mother, and uncle. After receiving five days of postoperative care, he was discharged on April 11, 2026, in good health. At the time of discharge, both his father and mother were present to receive him. The family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic, and Md. Abdullah Miah for their dedicated care and continuous support. Kobir’s father was especially thankful to Helpster for providing essential financial assistance during the treatment.
