Mahinur Begum, a 32-year-old pregnant woman, lives with her husband (45), two daughters—including a 14-year-old child with a disability—her elderly in-laws, and a young school-going daughter in a low-income household where her husband earns only 8,000 BDT per month, making it difficult to cover basic needs or medical costs. She is a caring and responsible mother who dreams of a safe delivery and a healthy future for her children. At 38+ weeks of pregnancy, she developed severe pain over her previous surgical scar, and doctors found fetal distress, advising an urgent caesarean section. However, due to financial hardship, her family is unable to afford the operation. She learned about Helpster Charity through a beneficiary and sought help, as without timely treatment, both her life and her unborn baby’s life could be at serious risk.

After experiencing, severe scar tenderness she arrived at our hospital at 1.00PM in 20th January 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful female baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 23th January 2026.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

With immediate LUCS (caesarean section), Mahinur Begum can have a safe delivery, protecting the baby from the effects of fetal distress and ensuring a good chance of recovery for both mother and child. The procedure will reduce complications and support a healthy outcome. However, if left untreated, fetal distress may lead to lack of oxygen to the baby, causing brain damage or stillbirth. The mother may also face risks such as uterine rupture or severe bleeding. Therefore, immediate surgical care is essential for their safety.
