Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About skin
Second-degree superficial burns (also called superficial partial-thickness burns) affect the outer layer of the skin (epidermis) and the upper part of the dermis. They are usually caused by hot liquids, steam, or brief contact with hot objects. These burns are characterized by redness, blister formation, swelling, and are typically very painful due to exposed nerve endings. The skin may appear moist and may weep fluid. With proper care, these burns usually heal without significant scarring.

His father works as a casual laborer, earning an irregular income that is often insufficient to meet the family’s basic needs, including access to healthcare. Isaac was brought to the hospital by his mother with a history of a burn injury sustained around 10 a.m. while playing at a neighbor’s house. A pot of boiling liquid accidentally fell on him, causing burns. On examination, he had burns affecting the face, ear, neck, and chest. He was promptly admitted and started on appropriate burn management, including pain control, wound care, and infection prevention. At the time of assessment, he is stable and responding well to treatment. Given the superficial nature of the burns, the prognosis is good. With proper wound care and follow-up, healing is expected within a few weeks, with minimal risk of scarring. Continued monitoring is important to prevent infection and ensure optimal recovery.
