The patient is a 35-week pregnant woman, gravida 2 and para 2, who presented with a breech presentation with anemia a condition in which the fetus is positioned in the uterus with its bottom or feet pointing downward instead of the usual head-down position. Due to this complication, the fetus is at risk of developing fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury, and head entrapment, requiring immediate medical intervention to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.

Background
Most. She is a caring, hardworking, and responsible mother who dreams of a safe delivery and a healthy future for her children. Currently, at 35 weeks of pregnancy, she is suffering from abdominal pain and has been diagnosed with breech presentation, which requires careful medical management. Due to financial hardship, her family is unable to afford the necessary treatment and monitoring. If left untreated, her condition may lead to serious complications during delivery, putting both the mother and the unborn baby at life-threatening risk, making urgent medical support essential.
Medical history
Most. Runa Begum was admitted at 35 weeks of pregnancy with a breech presentation on 26.03.2026. On the same day, she underwent a lower uterine cesarean section (LUCS) under spinal anesthesia. The operation was successful, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. Following the surgery, she received proper medical management, including pain control, antibiotics, fluid support, and close monitoring of her vital signs. She was also provided with attentive nursing care, which ensured proper wound care, early mobilization, and support for breastfeeding. Due to timely intervention and adequate post-operative care, both mother and baby showed steady improvement and remained in a stable and secure condition. She was discharged on 29.03.2026 with advice for follow-up care, medication, and maintaining proper hygiene and nutrition for continued recovery.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for her is LUCS under SAB, which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from brachial plexus injury, head entrapment, and oxygen deprivation, which can lead to permanent brain damage or even death. The mother may also face life-threatening infections or complications.
