Chronic constipation involves infrequent or difficult passage of stool due to poor bowel motility or dietary factors. It leads to stool retention, abdominal discomfort, and possible complications like fecal impaction. In children, it is often related to low fiber intake and poor hydration. Long-standing cases may affect quality of life. -A severe urinary tract infection is an infection of the urinary system, often caused by bacteria such as E. coli, that affects the bladder and sometimes the kidneys. Patients usually present with high-grade fever, lower abdominal or flank pain, painful and frequent urination, urgency, and occasionally blood in urine. Severe infections require prompt medical treatment with antibiotics, hydration, and monitoring, as untreated UTI can lead to kidney damage or systemic infection.

Background
Ibrahim is a 12-year-old boy from a modest family.he enjoys helping his mother with cooking and household chores, loves reading storybooks, and plays with her younger siblings. Ibrahim dreams of becoming a nurse. Ibrahim is a 12-year-old boy who presented with a background of longstanding constipation, characterized by infrequent bowel movements, which acutely progressed to complete inability to pass stool for one week. This was associated with high-grade fever, lower abdominal pain, and painful urination. He also experienced urinary frequency, urgency, and occasional passage of blood-stained urine. According to his parents, he appeared increasingly lethargic and intermittently complained of back pain. There was no history of vomiting or prior urinary tract problems. He had previously been in good health, with no known drug allergies and no history of surgical interventions. On evaluation, his clinical features were consistent with chronic constipation complicated by a severe urinary tract infection. He was commenced on intravenous antibiotics, and intravenous fluids.
Medical history
Ibrahim M.Ibrahim, a 12-year-old teenager, presented with a 3 days history of,High grade fever,lower abdominal pain, dysuria, accompanied by bloody urine. After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Severe Urinary tract infection. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days,treated with antibiotics, rehydrated and pain medication to alleviate pain. Ibrahim recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.
Prognosis
He was diagnosed to have Chronic Constipation complicated by severe urinary tract infection.This is a life threatening condition that can cause permanent damage to his kidneys.He will be admitted for treatment of his condition to avert potential complications. The treatment of Chronic Constipation and UTI has good prognosis and he will recover fully with timely treatment
