Mohammed Adam is a 7-year-old child from a very poor household where his parents earn less than 25,000 naira monthly through casual labor. He is playful, energetic, and enjoys outdoor games. He is from an extended family. He dreams to become a pilot in the future. He was apparently well until three (3) months ago when he was said to have developed suprapubic pain, dysuria with occasional hematuria. The family resorted to home remedies because they cannot afford the hospital bill and thought it wasn't something serious. Gradually, symptoms persisted and eventually they approached Helpster Charity Foundation for assistance. He were referred by someone whose child was a beneficiary of the program. At UMD, he was seen and evaluated to have a large Bladder stone requiring surgical removal upon approval by Helpster charity foundation. In the meantime, he was given painkiller and also encouraged to take adequate fluid.

Muhammad was found to have a symptomatic bladder stone that has been causing him significant problems. The stone is quite large and has repeatedly blocked the normal flow of urine from his bladder. Because of this, he has been going through episodes of Chronic pain and discomfort, and it has even started to affect his focus and performance at school. After clinical evaluation and diagnosis,he was scheduled to undergo elective surgery to remove the stone because bladder stone can pose a significant risk such as Severe Urinary Tract infection if treatment is delayed.
