Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About bones & joints

Alif Babu has been diagnosed with a closed fracture of the left tibia following a road traffic accident (RTA). A closed tibial fracture means that the main bone of the lower leg is broken, but the skin remains intact. This type of injury can cause severe pain, swelling, difficulty standing and walking, and may interfere with normal bone healing if not treated properly. Following the accident

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

Roumari, Kurigram

Background

Alif Babu is a cheerful, polite, and determined boy who dreams of continuing his education, but after the road traffic accident he is no longer able to walk, play, or attend school like other children. He lives with his parents, elder brother, younger sister, and elderly grandmother, and the entire family depends on his father Shohidul Islam's small monthly income of only 6,000 BDT, making the cost of orthopedic treatment impossible to afford. After the accident, doctors diagnosed him with a closed fracture of the left tibia, which requires proper treatment and follow-up to heal correctly. Without timely medical care, the broken bone may heal improperly, leading to permanent deformity, chronic pain, difficulty walking, and lifelong disability that could prevent him from achieving his dreams. After learning about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, the family is now seeking support to give Alif the chance to recover and return to a normal childhood.

Medical history

Alif Babu was admitted to the hospital on 16 April 2026 after suffering a road traffic accident near his house, which caused a closed fracture of his left tibia. Following medical examination and X-ray investigations, doctors confirmed the fracture and immediately started proper orthopedic treatment, pain management, immobilization, and supportive care. He remained under close observation and treatment by the hospital’s medical team. With timely medical care and continuous monitoring, Alif’s condition gradually improved over the following days, and his pain and swelling started to decrease. He was discharged from the hospital on 19 April 2026 in stable condition with advice for rest, follow-up treatment, and proper care for recovery. Alif’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Help Star, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their generous support and compassionate care during this difficult time.

Prognosis

With proper orthopedic treatment, pain management, immobilization, and supportive care, Alif’s fractured left tibia can heal gradually, allowing him to regain strength and normal movement over time. Adequate treatment and follow-up care will help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support his return to normal daily activities and school attendance. With close monitoring and proper rest, the chances of full recovery are very high. However, if left untreated or improperly managed, the fracture may heal incorrectly, leading to prolonged pain, difficulty in walking, bone deformity, or long-term mobility problems that could affect his growth and overall quality of life.
