Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About urology

Razia Sultana Mim has been diagnosed with a right-sided inguinal hernia, a condition where part of the intestine protrudes through a weak area in the lower abdominal wall. This causes a visible swelling and pain, especially during movement, crying, or physical activity. Over time, the condition may worsen, leading to increased discomfort and risk of complications. With proper surgical treatment, she can recover fully; however, if left untreated, it may lead to serious complications such as obstruction or strangulation of the intestine, which can become life-threatening.

Background

Razia Sultana Mim is a cheerful and playful five-year-old girl who lives with her parents and sister, finding joy in spending time with her friends despite her ongoing pain. Her father, a van puller, struggles to earn enough to meet daily needs, making it impossible for the family to afford the surgery she urgently requires. Although Mim remains brave and innocent, her condition has caused repeated abdominal pain, making her increasingly uncomfortable and dependent on her family’s care. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Abdul Alim and reached out through Bablu Abdullah, hoping for support during this difficult time. If she does not receive timely surgery, her inguinal hernia may worsen, leading to severe complications such as obstruction or strangulation, which can become life-threatening and put her young life at serious risk.

Prognosis

With timely herniotomy under general anesthesia, Razia Sultana Mim has an excellent chance of complete recovery and a normal, pain-free life. The surgery will correct the defect in the abdominal wall, relieve her discomfort, and prevent further complications, allowing her to return to her usual activities, including playing and attending school. With proper post-operative care and follow-up, she is expected to recover quickly without long-term effects. However, if left untreated, the hernia may become trapped or strangulated, cutting off blood supply to the intestine. This can lead to severe pain, infection, and life-threatening complications that may require emergency surgery. Delayed treatment therefore poses a serious risk to her health and overall well-being.
