Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About plastic surgery

Md. Atikh Hasan has been diagnosed with a fingertip injury of the right middle finger with exposed bone, a serious condition resulting from trauma. He has been experiencing severe pain, reduced finger movement, and discoloration of the injured area, indicating possible tissue damage. The exposure of bone increases the risk of infection and further complications if not treated promptly. Immediate medical care is essential to protect the finger, promote healing, and restore normal function.

AL- AQSA HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE

Jodrn Road, Barishal, P.O Box. No-8200

Background

Md. Atikh Hasan, an 8-year-old student, lives with his parents and two siblings in a poor household where his father earns only 6,000 BDT per month as a day laborer, making it difficult to meet daily needs and impossible to afford medical care. He is a polite and well-behaved child who is dedicated to his studies despite the family’s struggles. After a serious injury to his right middle finger, his condition has worsened with pain, reduced movement, and discoloration, now diagnosed as a fingertip injury with exposed bone. His parents are deeply concerned but cannot bear the treatment cost due to financial hardship. They learned about Helpster Charity through community outreach and sought help, as without timely treatment, the injury may lead to infection, permanent damage, or loss of finger function.

Medical history

The first surgery was completed and the second surgery will be scheduled after 21 days, After the second surgery the story will be completed and all the control visit and final discharge certificate will be uploaded.

Prognosis

With timely two-stage surgery, including a cross finger flap followed by flap division after 21 days, Md. Atikh Hasan has a good chance of proper healing of his injured finger. This procedure will help cover the exposed bone, restore blood supply, reduce pain, and gradually improve finger movement and function. With proper post-operative care and follow-up, he can regain useful function of his finger and return to normal daily activities. However, if left untreated, the exposed bone may lead to severe infection, tissue death, and permanent damage to the finger. This could result in loss of finger function or even amputation. Such complications may affect his ability to write, study, and perform daily tasks. Therefore, timely surgical intervention is essential for his recovery and future well-being.
