James Onyango is a six-year-old boy in his final year of kindergarten school. He is the youngest child in a family of four siblings living with both parents in a rural village. James enjoys playing football with his friends and spends much of his free time playing with a ball gifted to him by a visitor at their church. He dreams of becoming a great footballer in the future. His father works on people’s farms to provide for the family, while his mother has no source of income, making life financially difficult. During a community outreach conducted by Awasi Catholic Mission Health Centre in partnership with Helpster Charity in one of the interior villages, James was brought for treatment by his mother alongside his brother, who had similar symptoms. James appeared sickly with widespread body rashes, persistent fever, and extreme weakness that required urgent medical attention. Following assessment during the outreach, it was determined that his condition required immediate hospital admission for close monitoring and treatment. The facility promptly came to his rescue and admitted him for urgent care.

On 19th April, James was admitted at the children's ward after diagnosed with scabies a condition having septic itchy rashes that had spread all over his body which required immediate admission. On admission, He was administered with IV floxapen , IV metro, brufen and dinac which he started immediate that positively responded. On 23rd April he was ready for home discharge on medication of floxapen, brufen, prednisolone, and benzyl also advised on drug adherence as per doctor prescription.

James was admitted in a sickly condition with persistent fever, widespread body rashes, and generalized weakness. Following clinical assessment and investigations, he was diagnosed with septic rash, a serious condition caused by infection leading to inflammation and skin manifestations. His condition required immediate admission, close monitoring, antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and supportive treatment to prevent further complications. Without urgent medical intervention, the infection could have progressed and become life-threatening. His prognosis is favorable.
