Shova Moni is a cheerful and innocent 5-year-old girl who has recently started school and dreams of building a brighter future through education. She lives with her parents and her 10-year-old brother in a small tin-shade house, where her father is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 6,000, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of her medical treatment while meeting their daily needs. She has been diagnosed with typhoid fever, and without timely treatment, the infection could spread throughout her body, leading to severe dehydration, intestinal perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multiple organ failure, and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, giving them hope when they had no other way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Shova has the opportunity to recover fully, return to school, and enjoy a healthy childhood with her family.

Shova Moni was admitted to the hospital on 20 April 2026 after suffering from fever, cough, common cold, and respiratory distress for several days. As her condition gradually worsened, she became weak and physically exhausted. After thorough medical examination and necessary diagnostic tests, doctors diagnosed her with typhoid fever. She received proper medical treatment, medications, supportive therapy, and close monitoring from the hospital’s medical team. With timely treatment and continuous care, Shova Moni’s condition gradually improved over the following days. She responded well to the medications, and her fever, breathing difficulty, and weakness started to improve. She was discharged from the hospital on 26 April 2026 in stable condition. Shova Moni’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their kind support and compassionate care, which played a vital role in her recovery.

With timely administration of parenteral antibiotics and supportive therapy, Shova Moni’s infection can be effectively controlled, leading to a gradual reduction in fever and improvement in her overall condition. Proper treatment will help restore her strength, improve her appetite, and allow her to return to her normal childhood activities and school. With close medical monitoring and proper care, the chances of full recovery are very high. However, if left untreated, typhoid fever can worsen and may lead to severe dehydration, prolonged illness, respiratory complications, and serious health problems affecting the intestines and overall body condition. In severe cases, the infection can become life-threatening and may have a significant impact on her long-term health.
