Brightone is the youngest in a family of five and lives with both parents and siblings in a single-room, mud-walled house without electricity. His family faces significant financial challenges. His mother is a farmer, while his father depends on irregular casual jobs to support the household, making it difficult to consistently meet their basic needs. His mother reported that Brightone had been experiencing intermittent fevers, cough, general body weakness, and reduced appetite. She had been managing his symptoms at home with paracetamol, which provided temporary relief. However, on the night she brought him to the hospital, his condition worsened—he was febrile and developed difficulty in breathing. Concerned about his deteriorating state, the family sought help from a neighbor who transported them to the hospital on a motorcycle, with the understanding that payment would be made later. Although she had heard about Helpster from community members, she did not fully understand how it worked until a staff member explained it to her at the facility, which she greatly appreciated.

BRIGHTONE WAS TREATED WITH ANTIMALARIALS, ANTIBIOTICS, ANTIPYRETICS AND OTHER DRUGS AS PER MEDICAL REPORT. HE RESPONDED SO WELL TO CARE AND MANAGEMENT THAT WAS OFFERED TO HIM AND STABILIZED. HE WAS THEN DISCHARGED HOME ON ORAL MEDICATIONS TO COMPLETE AT HOME

Brightone presented with severe malaria and severe pneumonia, evidenced by high fever, cough, respiratory distress, and general weakness. He was promptly admitted and started on urgent treatment, including intravenous antimalarial therapy, broad-spectrum antibiotics, oxygen support, and supportive care. At the time of assessment, he was stable but remained under close monitoring due to the severity of his condition. With timely and appropriate treatment, the prognosis is fair to good, and he is expected to recover well.
