Asmaul Hosna Alvi is a cheerful and innocent 2-year-old girl whose laughter brings joy to her parents and three older siblings. Her father, the family's only earning member, is currently unemployed due to the lack of available work, leaving the family unable to afford even basic necessities, let alone the cost of hospitalization and surgery. Doctors diagnosed Alvi with a soft tissue abscess of the left knee with systemic infection and secondary fever, and without urgent treatment, the infection could spread throughout her body, leading to sepsis, permanent damage to her leg, multiple organ failure, or even death. Despite their overwhelming financial hardship, her parents refuse to give up hope and are doing everything they can to save their youngest child. After learning about Helpster Charity through Abu Sayeed and another Helpster beneficiary, the family finally found hope for the lifesaving treatment Alvi desperately needs.

Md. Alvi, a 2-year-old child, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 13.04.2026 with complaints of difficulty breathing accompanied by persistent cough and chest discomfort, high-grade fever leading to weakness, irritability, and fatigue, and a painful swelling at the right wrist joint that limited movement and caused significant distress. Upon evaluation, he was diagnosed with an abscess with systemic infection along with secondary fever. Under the supervision of the medical team and with the support of volunteer Abu Sayeed, the child was immediately hospitalized and closely monitored. The treatment plan included pharmacological management, maintenance of fluids and electrolytes, and a minor surgical procedure involving incision and drainage of the abscess along with proper infection care. Md. Alvi remained hospitalized for a total of 09 days, during which his condition gradually improved, leading to his discharge on 22.04.2026 in a stable condition. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

According to the treating doctor, immediate hospitalization, intravenous medications, fluid and electrolyte management, incision and drainage of the abscess, infection control, and close monitoring are essential to eliminate the infection and prevent it from spreading. With timely treatment, the abscess is expected to heal, the fever will subside, and Asmaul Hosna Alvi can regain normal movement of her leg and continue healthy growth and development. However, if left untreated, the infection may spread to the bloodstream, bones, or nearby joints, leading to sepsis, permanent damage to the knee, impaired mobility, multiple organ failure, or even death. Early medical intervention offers the best chance for a full recovery and helps prevent lifelong complications.
