Salman Takrim is a lively and playful 3-year-old boy who loves spending time with his family and playing with his sister Raisa. He lives in a small tin-made house where his father, Md. Nazrul Islam, struggles to support the family by working as a construction laborer and earning only around 7,000 BDT per month, making medical treatment impossible for them to afford. Since shortly after birth, Salman has been suffering from a painful eye problem causing continuous discharge, redness, and swelling, which has gradually worsened and affected his comfort and vision. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Al Amin, his worried parents sought urgent help for his treatment and care. Without proper treatment, the infection may become more severe and could lead to serious complications and permanent damage to his eyesight.

Salman Takrim, a 3-year-old boy, required treatment for a condition affecting his right eye and tear drainage, which was causing discomfort and needed surgical correction. To improve his eye health and support better vision, he underwent DCR (Dacryocystorhinostomy) surgery in his right eye under General Anesthesia on 18.04.2026. The procedure was successfully performed by Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Sk, Chief Consultant of the Hospital. Salman responded well to the treatment and remained under close medical supervision during his recovery. Following the surgery, his eye condition improved, and we are hopeful that he will continue to heal well and enjoy clearer, more comfortable vision. According to the medical specialists at Mazharul Haque BNSB Eye Hospital in Chandpur, Salman urgently requires DCR (Dacryocystorhinostomy) surgery in his right eye within the next month. The procedure will be performed by experienced consultants, Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Chief Consultant, and Dr. Rashedur Rahman Talukder, Senior Consultant. The procedure will restore proper tear drainage, eliminate infection, and allow him to see clearly again—giving him the chance to grow, learn, and play like any other child. However, without this timely treatment, Salman’s condition may worsen, leading to repeated infections, increasing pain, and potential long-term damage to his vision.
