Md Al Amin is a 14-year-old boy who studies in Class 7 and dreams of continuing his education to build a better future for his family. Al Amin has been diagnosed with a serious disease affecting the blood vessels of both eyes, causing his vision to become increasingly blurred and making it difficult for him to read, study, and carry out daily activities. Without timely treatment, he may suffer permanent vision loss, which would severely affect his education, independence, and future opportunities. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Nasima Akter, Counselor of the Pediatric Unit at Mazharul Haque BNSB Eye Hospital, and Helpster Volunteer Md Al Amin.

According to the specialist doctors at Mazharul Haque BNSB Eye Hospital, Chandpur, Al Amin urgently requires Anti-VEGF injections and PRP Laser treatment in both eyes, along with routine follow-up care. The treatment will be provided by Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Sheikh, Chief Consultant, and Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Retina Specialist of the hospital. The doctors believe that with timely treatment, Al Amin’s vision can be stabilized and significantly improved, allowing him to continue his education and daily life. This treatment will help reduce retinal swelling, prevent further damage, and protect his eyesight from permanent loss. However, if left untreated, his condition may progress rapidly and could result in irreversible blindness in both eyes.
