Jisan Majhi, a 16-day-old newborn baby, was born into a deeply struggling family where his physically disabled father cannot work regularly, leaving the family dependent on his elderly grandfather’s small income from pulling a rickshaw. Despite their poverty, Jisan’s parents and grandparents lovingly care for him and dream of seeing him grow up healthy alongside his elder brother Shahadat. Suddenly, while feeding, Jisan developed severe breathing distress and his body turned bluish, leaving the entire family terrified as hospital after hospital failed to provide the NICU support he urgently needed. His mother and grandfather desperately traveled from one hospital to another, but financial hardship and the lack of available NICU beds made treatment extremely difficult. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a volunteer from Dhaka Medical College, hoping for urgent support, as without immediate treatment and NICU care, Jisan’s severe pneumonia and breathing complications could become life-threatening and may even lead to the loss of the child.

Jisan Majhi, a 16-day-old newborn baby, was admitted to the hospital on 27-04-2026 in critical condition with severe pneumonia and respiratory distress. He was suffering from breathing difficulty, bluish discoloration of the body, excessive crying, feeding problems, and weakness, which required urgent medical attention and close monitoring. After admission, the doctors provided oxygen support, intravenous antibiotics, nebulization, fluid management, and other necessary neonatal treatments under careful observation. During the hospital stay, the baby gradually responded to treatment, and his breathing condition, feeding ability, and overall physical stability started to improve. The dedicated efforts of the medical team and continuous supportive care helped him recover from the severe infection. After significant improvement in his condition, Jisan was discharged from the hospital on 07-05-2026 with advice for regular follow-up, proper nutrition, hygiene maintenance, and continued medical observation for healthy recovery.

Doctors have advised immediate NICU admission with broad-spectrum antibiotics, correction of electrolyte imbalance, infection control, and close monitoring to stabilize Jisan’s critical condition. If his condition improves, he will later be shifted to the normal ward for supportive care and parental guidance. With timely treatment, his breathing difficulty, infection, and weakness can gradually improve, giving him a chance for healthy recovery. However, if left untreated, the infection may spread rapidly, causing respiratory failure, septicemia, heart complications, shock, permanent organ damage, and even death.
