Mst Nilufa Begum is 38 weeks of single viable pregnancy with sever Oligohydramnios. Sever Oligohydramnios is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by an unusually low amount of amniotic fluid, defined by ultrasound measurements of the largest pocket of amniotic fluid being less than 1 cm. Oligohydramnios in general is when the amniotic fluid volume is less than expected for the gestational age, with severe cases indicating a particularly low amount.

Background
Mst. Nilufa Begum is a caring and hopeful mother who dreams of giving her children a safer and better future despite her family’s poverty. Her husband works as a day laborer with very limited income, making it difficult to manage daily household expenses and impossible to afford costly pregnancy treatment and delivery care. During the final stage of her pregnancy, she developed lower abdominal pain, watery discharge, and weakness, and doctors later found that there is a low amount of fluid around the baby, causing deep fear and anxiety for the whole family, including her young son. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Bablu Abdullah, her family brought her to Jamuna Clinic seeking urgent medical support. Without proper treatment and close medical care, both the mother and unborn baby could face serious and life-threatening complications during childbirth.
Medical history
Mst Nilufa Begum was admitted to the hospital on April 27, 2026 with a diagnosis of 2nd gravida with 38 weeks pregnant with severe Olygohydramnois. On the same day, she successfully underwent a cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn remained in good condition and were discharged on May 02, 2026. Upon discharge, husband and mother-in-law came to the hospital to receive both the mother and the newborn. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, and Md. Abdullah Miah for their dedicated treatment and continuous support throughout the process. Nilufa’s husband was especially thankful to Helpster for providing crucial financial assistance during the treatment.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Mst. Nilufa Begum urgently requires LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) because the low fluid around the baby may create serious complications during normal delivery and place both mother and baby at risk. With proper surgery and medical care, there is a good chance of safe delivery, helping protect the lives and health of both mother and newborn baby. Timely treatment can also reduce the risk of fetal distress, severe bleeding, infection, and delivery complications. Without proper treatment and emergency delivery care, both the mother and unborn baby may face severe and life-threatening complications during childbirth.
