Mohammad Toha is a 14-year-old boy who studies in the seventh grade and dreams of becoming a doctor. He lives with his parents and siblings in a mud-walled house with a tin roof, where his father works as a farmer and struggles to support the family with a limited income. Due to their financial hardship, the family is unable to afford the cost of his medical treatment. Toha has been suffering from prolonged fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and dehydration, which have left him weak and unable to attend school or carry out normal activities. Without timely treatment, his condition could worsen, leading to severe dehydration, serious infection, and other life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Ahammod Ali Azad.

Mohammed Tuha, a 14-year-old male child, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 22.04.2026 through Helpster volunteer Abu Sayeed with complaints of high-grade fever for several days, frequent watery diarrhea, abdominal pain, generalized weakness, and poor oral intake. Upon admission, detailed clinical assessment and necessary investigations were conducted. He was diagnosed with Enteric Fever with Acute Watery Diarrhea (AWD) and Dehydration. The patient received intravenous fluid therapy and rehydration, antibiotic treatment for enteric fever, management of diarrhea and fever, nutritional support, laboratory investigations, supportive care, and close monitoring throughout his hospital stay. He remained hospitalized for seven days and was discharged on 29.04.2026 in stable condition with medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Doctors have recommended hospital admission for close monitoring, intravenous fluid therapy to correct dehydration, antibiotic treatment for the underlying infection, management of fever and diarrhea, nutritional support, and regular follow-up care. With timely treatment and proper hydration, most children with this condition recover well, regaining their strength, appetite, and normal daily activities without long-term health problems. The combination of medical treatment, supportive care, and careful monitoring is expected to significantly improve Mohammed Tuha’s condition and prevent further complications. However, if left untreated, persistent infection and severe fluid loss may lead to worsening dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, intestinal complications, organ dysfunction, and other serious medical emergencies that can result in severe complications or even death.
