About pathology
Mohammed Ibrahim has been diagnosed with an intramuscular lipoma on the left upper back of the chest wall. This is a fatty growth that develops deep inside the muscle tissue and gradually increases in size over time. The swelling has become more noticeable and may cause discomfort, restrict movement, or affect nearby muscles if it continues to grow untreated. Although it is usually non-cancerous, timely surgical treatment is important to prevent future complications and ensure healthy growth and development.

Background
Mohammed Ibrahim, a 15-month-old child, is a cheerful and charming baby whose smile brings hope to his struggling family. After his father went missing, Ibrahim’s mother became fully dependent on his elderly maternal grandfather, who survives through small-scale farming and can barely provide food and daily necessities for the family. When swelling gradually appeared on Ibrahim’s chest wall, his mother became deeply worried, but the family had no financial ability to arrange the surgery needed for his treatment. Doctors later diagnosed him with an intramuscular lipoma and advised urgent surgical removal to prevent future complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Jamilur Raza, as without timely treatment, the tumor may grow larger, cause pain, restrict movement, and create serious health complications for the child.
Medical history
On the morning of April 27, 2026, a boy named Ibrahim was admitted to the hospital suffering from a tumor. Ibrahim’s mother learned about Helpster Charity through a doctor and brought him there, after which he was admitted to the hospital. After admission, with the support of Helpster and its volunteers, the attending surgeon quickly arranged for his surgery, which was successfully completed. Following the operation, Ibrahim received proper postoperative care and treatment, and gradually began to recover. On April 29, 2026, Ibrahim was discharged from the hospital and safely returned home. Ibrahim’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and Modern Hospital for saving their child’s life through proper care and free treatment.
Prognosis
With timely surgical removal of the lipoma under general anesthesia (GA), Mohammed Ibrahim has a very good chance of complete recovery. The operation will remove the abnormal fatty growth, prevent further enlargement, and reduce the risk of pain, discomfort, or restriction of movement as he grows. After proper treatment and follow-up care, he is expected to live a healthy and normal childhood. However, if left untreated, the swelling may gradually increase in size, affect nearby muscles and tissues, and lead to serious complications, infection, or severe physical problems that may eventually become life-threatening.
