Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Maruf Hossain is a kind and hardworking 14-year-old boy from Geneva Bihari Camp, Dhaka, who loves playing cricket with his friends and dreams of continuing his studies to support his family in the future. After losing his mother at a young age, Maruf has been growing up with his father, grandmother, and siblings in a small overcrowded rented shelter where his father struggles to support the entire family by working as a day laborer and van driver earning only around 7,000 BDT per month. The family’s limited income is barely enough for food, rent, and daily needs, leaving them completely unable to afford Maruf’s costly hospital treatment, medicines, and follow-up care for his severe illness. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity in Geneva Camp, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Doctors have warned that if Maruf does not receive proper treatment on time, the severe infection may spread further inside his body, worsen his breathing problems and weakness, damage vital organs, and place his life at serious risk.
Medical history
After Helpster support, Maruf Hossain was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 30 April 2026 at 2:23 PM for treatment of UTI with septicemia and multiple abscesses. He stayed in the hospital for about 5 days and received IV fluids, injectable antibiotics, medicines, investigations, and supportive care under the doctor’s supervision. His fever, infection, pain, and weakness were treated carefully during admission. Maruf was discharged on 5 May 2026 at 12:24 PM with medicines and follow-up advice. With continued care, he is expected to recover safely and slowly return to his normal daily life.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Maruf Hossain urgently needs proper hospital treatment, including IV fluids, strong antibiotics, and supportive medicines, to control the severe infection spreading in his body. With timely treatment and close medical monitoring, his fever, pain, weakness, breathing difficulty, and abscesses are expected to improve gradually, helping him recover and return to normal life. Doctors are carefully treating the infection to prevent further damage to his body and improve his overall condition. However, if Maruf does not receive proper treatment on time, the infection may spread rapidly, cause serious damage to vital organs, worsen his breathing problems, and become life-threatening.
