Ms. Afrin is a kind, hardworking, and ambitious 18-year-old student who dreams of completing her education and building a better future for her family. She lives with her parents and younger brother in a small mud-and-tin house. Her father, Md. Halim Gazi, works as an assistant mason and earns only about BDT 9,000 per month, which is barely enough to cover the family's daily needs, leaving them unable to afford her medical treatment. Afrin has been suffering from severe lower abdominal pain and repeated vomiting, and doctors believe she needs urgent treatment. Without timely care, her condition could become much more serious and put her life at risk. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a community outreach program conducted by Helpster volunteers Anwar Hossain Anu and Meghlal Roy, giving them hope for the treatment they could not afford on their own.

Ms. Afrin was admitted to Al Aqsa Hospital and Diagnostic Center on 28 April 2026 with severe abdominal pain, fever, and vomiting. She was diagnosed with recurrent appendicitis and underwent a successful open appendectomy on the same day. During her hospital stay, she received medicines, wound care, and close medical supervision, and her condition improved steadily. She was discharged on 01 May 2026 in stable condition. Ms. Afrin and her family sincerely thank Helpster Charity, volunteers Mr. Anwar Hossain Anu and Mr. Meghlal Roy, and the medical team at Al Aqsa Hospital for their financial support and compassionate care, which made her treatment and recovery possible.

According to the treating doctor, an appendectomy (surgical removal of the appendix) is the recommended treatment for Afrin's recurrent appendicitis. The surgery is expected to relieve her pain, prevent future attacks, and allow her to return to her normal daily activities and continue her education without ongoing health problems. If left untreated, the inflamed appendix may rupture, causing a serious infection in the abdomen that can become life-threatening
