Hepatic haemangioma is an abnormal swelling of blood vessels in the liver, while intestinal and pulmonary tuberculosis are infections that may affect the intestines and lungs and can gradually weaken the body if not treated properly. Due to the seriousness of these combined conditions, she is currently under close medical supervision and supportive treatment to prevent further complications and stabilize her health.

Background
Shama Parvin, a 16-year-old girl, became seriously ill after developing severe abdominal pain along with repeated vomiting and fever. Over the past month, she had been experiencing low-grade fever and gradual weight loss, but her condition worsened during the last two days with severe continuous abdominal pain, abdominal swelling, and high fever. Due to the worsening condition, she was admitted to Al Manar Hospital on 02 May 2026 for urgent medical care and investigations. After examination and previous ultrasound findings, doctors diagnosed her with intestinal tuberculosis along with a hepatic hemangioma (a liver swelling condition). She is currently under close medical supervision and receiving treatment and supportive care to control the infection, abdominal pain, fever, and related complications.
Medical history
With Helpster's vital support, Shama was successfully admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on May 2, 2026, at 12:35 PM to undergo immediate clinical care for her critical symptoms. She remained hospitalized for a 12-day stay, receiving emergency conservative management, intravenous fluids, and antibiotics to stabilize her acute abdominal condition. Following a positive tuberculosis test, she was safely started on her anti-TB medication and was discharged on May 14, 2026, to continue her recovery at home. Now equipped with her full 12-month treatment plan and essential supportive medicines, Shama is showing positive progress, experiencing relief from her severe pain, and slowly regaining the strength needed to pursue her dreams.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Shama Parveen requires conservative management, IV antibiotics, IV fluids, and anti-tuberculosis medicines to control the infection, reduce abdominal complications, and stabilize her overall condition. With proper treatment and close medical monitoring, her infection, weakness, and abdominal complications may gradually improve, helping her regain strength and recover safely. Doctors are carefully observing her condition to prevent the tuberculosis infection from spreading further and to manage complications related to the liver and abdomen. However, if the condition is left untreated, the tuberculosis infection may severely damage her intestines, lungs, and overall health, while the abdominal complications could become life-threatening and lead to severe weakness, organ damage, and other serious complications.
