Sompa Akter is a kind and hopeful 19-year-old young mother who dreams of safely welcoming her first child and building a better future for her family. She lives with her husband, his unemployed younger brother, and his elderly parents, while her husband is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 7,000, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of the emergency surgery she urgently needs. Doctors have found that her pregnancy has continued beyond the expected due date, placing both mother and baby at high risk, and without timely treatment, they could face serious, potentially life-threatening complications, including fetal distress, lack of oxygen to the baby, prolonged or obstructed labor, severe bleeding, stillbirth, or loss of the mother's life. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, giving them hope when they had no other way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Sompa and her baby have the best chance of a safe delivery and a healthy future together.

Sompa Akter was admitted to the hospital on 29/04/2026 due to complications from a postdated pregnancy, which increased the risk of delayed labor and fetal distress. Considering these risks, doctors proceeded with a planned cesarean section (LUCS). The surgery was successfully performed, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. Following the operation, Sompa received appropriate post-operative care, including medications, antibiotics, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and showed steady improvement during their hospital stay. Within a few days, Sompa was able to move comfortably and care for her newborn. She was discharged from the hospital on 02/05/2026 in good health. Sompa and her family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team for their compassionate support and timely intervention, which ensured a safe delivery and the well-being of both mother and child.

The doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to ensure the safe delivery of Sompa Akter’s baby, as her postdated pregnancy increases the risk of complications during labor. With timely surgical intervention and proper medical care, there is a high chance of a safe delivery, allowing Sompa to recover safely and care for her newborn and family. This procedure will help reduce the risks of fetal distress, prolonged labor, and other complications related to delayed pregnancy.
