Md. Haider Ali has been diagnosed with phimosis with urinary tract infection, a painful condition that caused difficulty passing urine, swelling of the skin around the urinary opening, fever, and vomiting. He had been crying during urination and experiencing poor urine flow for several days, which gradually made him weak and uncomfortable. As the infection worsened, his condition became more serious and required urgent hospitalization and medical care. He is currently under treatment and close observation to control the infection, relieve his pain, and prevent further complications that could become life-threatening if left untreated.

Background
Md. Haider Ali is a gentle and innocent 1-year-6-month-old boy from Geneva Camp, Dhaka, who loves staying close to his mother and playing with his siblings, Nisha Akhtar and Faiyazan Hossain. He lives with his family in a small overcrowded rented shelter where his father, Joni Khan, earns only around 8,500 BDT per month from working in a small shop, leaving the family unable to save money for emergency medical treatment after managing food, rent, and daily expenses. Haider’s painful urination, fever, vomiting, and severe discomfort have made him weak and restless, causing great fear and anxiety among his parents and family members. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity in Geneva Camp, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Doctors have warned that without proper treatment, his urinary infection and blockage may become more severe, spread further inside his body, damage his health, and become life-threatening.
Medical history
Helpster Charity supported Haider’s hospital treatment at Al-Manar Hospital after he was admitted on 02/05/2026 at 2:16 PM with phimosis and urinary tract infection. He stayed in the hospital for about 2 days and received conservative treatment, including medicines and care for infection and urinary problems. After his condition became stable, he was discharged on 05/05/2026 with prescribed medicines, hygiene advice, and follow-up instructions. His treatment helped reduce the immediate infection risk and gave the family hope for his recovery. Continued follow-up is important to make sure Haider improves properly and does not need further treatment such as circumcision.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Md. Haider Ali urgently needs injectable antibiotics to control the urinary infection and steroid cream treatment to improve the phimosis condition. With proper treatment and close medical monitoring, his pain, fever, vomiting, and difficulty during urination are expected to improve gradually, helping him return to a healthier and more comfortable childhood. Doctors have advised that if his condition does not improve, he may require circumcision surgery for proper recovery. However, if he remains untreated, the infection may spread further, cause severe urinary blockage, kidney complications, serious illness, and may become life-threatening.
