Aliza Ahmed has been diagnosed with measles along with pneumonia. Measles is a highly infectious illness that causes high fever, cough, runny nose, vomiting, weakness, and red rashes that spread across the body. Along with this, she also developed pneumonia, a serious lung infection that caused severe breathing difficulty and made her condition more critical. Due to the seriousness of her illness, she required urgent hospital admission and is currently receiving medicines, oxygen support, supportive treatment, and close monitoring from doctors to help her recover safely.

Background
Four-year-old Aliza Ahmed lives with her parents and two sisters, Anika and Khatun Naureen, in a small overcrowded shelter in Market Camp, Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Her father, Jamil Ahmed, works as a daily laborer and earns only around 9,000 BDT per month, which is barely enough for food and rent, leaving the family unable to afford emergency medical treatment. Aliza is a cheerful and playful child, but her condition became critical after she developed high fever, severe cough, breathing difficulty, and rashes across her body due to measles and pneumonia. Doctors warned that without urgent treatment, her breathing problems and infection could become life-threatening. During this difficult time, the family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized in Geneva Camp, which became their only hope for Aliza’s treatment and recovery.
Medical history
Aliza was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on May 2, 2026, at 06:38 PM to receive urgent, life-saving care. During her critical four-day hospital stay, Helpster covered her essential clinical management, which included intravenous fluids, targeted systemic antibiotics, supportive pediatric therapies, and vital high-dose Vitamin A supplementation. Thanks to this timely financial and medical sponsorship, her severe respiratory distress and acute fever were successfully stabilized. On May 6, 2026, she was safely discharged with prescribed recovery medications and officially referred to a specialized infectious disease facility for continued isolation care, marking a crucial step toward her complete healing.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Aliza Ahmed requires hospitalization, antibiotic treatment, nebulization, and supportive care to control the measles infection and improve her breathing problems caused by pneumonia. With proper treatment and close monitoring, her fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and weakness can gradually improve, helping her recover safely and return to normal childhood activities. Doctors are carefully observing her condition to prevent further complications and protect her lungs from severe damage. If she does not receive timely treatment, the infection may worsen rapidly and could lead to severe breathing failure, worsening pneumonia, extreme weakness, and other life-threatening complications that may seriously endanger her life.
