Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Morium Akter is a kind and soft-hearted 14-year-old girl who studies in Class 5 and dreams of becoming a social worker so she can help poor people in her community. She loves traveling and spending time with her family, but her painful illness has left her unable to eat properly, speak comfortably, or live normally. Her father, Md. Mosharef Hossain, works as a day laborer and earns only around 8,000 BDT per month, while her mother takes care of the household, her elderly grandmother, and Morium’s two unemployed elder sisters, making it impossible for the family to afford costly hospital treatment and medicines. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through the Helpster Charity outreach program held on 07-04-2026 and through Helpster volunteers. Doctors have warned that without proper treatment, the infection and bleeding could become more severe, spread to other parts of her body, cause serious breathing and swallowing problems, and place her life in danger.
Medical history
Morium Akter was admitted to Al Manar Hospital on 02-05-2026 after suffering from severe throat infection, fever, and nasal bleeding. After detailed examinations and investigations, the doctors diagnosed her with Peritonsillar Abscess with epistaxis and immediately started proper treatment. Surgical incision and drainage of the abscess along with treatment for nasal bleeding were successfully performed, and her condition gradually improved during hospitalization. After receiving necessary medicines, post-operative care, and medical advice, she was discharged on 05-05-2026 in a stable and improved condition. Morium and her family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, the dedicated volunteers, and the doctors and staff of Al Manar Hospital for their kind support, timely treatment, and compassionate care during this difficult time.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Morium Akter urgently needs proper treatment, including drainage of the throat abscess, surgery, and control of the nasal bleeding, to fully recover from her condition. With timely treatment and regular follow-up care, the swelling, pain, fever, and bleeding are expected to improve gradually, helping her return to normal daily activities and continue her studies. Doctors are closely monitoring her condition to prevent the infection from spreading further and causing more serious complications. However, if she remains untreated, the infection may spread deeper into her throat and surrounding areas, causing severe breathing and swallowing difficulties, continuous bleeding, serious weakness, and potentially life-threatening complications.
