Alicha Akter is a gentle and hardworking 12-year-old girl from Geneva Bihari Camp who studies in Class 6 and dreams of continuing her education despite the difficult conditions of her life. She lives with her parents, grandmother, younger sister Maisha Akter, and younger brother Md. Arish in a small overcrowded shelter where her father, Mohammad Shahajan, works as a driver earning only around 9,000 BDT per month, leaving the family unable to afford costly medical treatment after managing rent, food, and daily expenses. Alicha’s repeated throat infections, severe nasal blockage, and recurrent nose bleeding have made it difficult for her to breathe comfortably, sleep properly, attend school regularly, and enjoy a normal childhood with her siblings. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through the outreach program held on 07-04-2026 at Geneva Market Camp. Doctors have warned that without proper treatment, her condition may become life-threatening by causing severe breathing problems, repeated heavy bleeding, worsening infection, weakness, and serious long-term complications affecting her overall health and future well-being.

Alicha Akter was admitted to the hospital on 02-05-2026 with complaints of nasal bleeding, recurrent sore throat, and long-standing nasal blockage. After admission, the doctors performed necessary examinations and provided appropriate treatment including medications, observation, and supportive care to control the bleeding and reduce the throat and nasal problems. During her hospital stay, her condition gradually improved, the nasal bleeding stopped, and she became more comfortable in breathing and swallowing. The medical team closely monitored her recovery and advised proper follow-up care to prevent recurrence of the symptoms. After satisfactory improvement in her condition, Alicha was discharged from the hospital on 05-05-2026 with advice for regular medication, hygiene maintenance, and follow-up treatment for complete recovery.

According to the doctors, Alicha Akter urgently needs tonsil surgery, nasal cautery, antibiotics, and supportive medicines to control her repeated throat infections, improve her breathing, and stop the recurrent nose bleeding.
