Nazia Nusrat, an 8-year-old child, has been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI) with acute abdominal pain, a serious condition that caused high fever, painful urination, vomiting, and severe stomach pain. She had been suffering from fever and difficulty during urination for several days, and her condition gradually became more severe with weakness and abdominal tenderness. Due to the infection and ongoing pain, she became very uncomfortable and unable to carry out her normal daily activities. She is currently under medical treatment and close observation to control the infection, reduce the pain, and prevent further complications.

Background
Nazia Nusrat is a gentle and cheerful 8-year-old girl from Geneva Bihari Camp, Dhaka, who loves drawing, playing with her younger sister Nurjahan, and listening to stories from her grandmother. She dreams of becoming a teacher one day, but her severe illness has left her suffering from high fever, painful urination, vomiting, and severe abdominal pain, making it difficult for her to eat, sleep, or live a normal childhood. Her father, Md. Mohel, works as a daily wage laborer earning only around 8,500 BDT per month, while her mother struggles to care for the children and elderly grandmother in their small overcrowded shelter, leaving the family unable to afford costly hospital treatment and medicines. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity in Geneva Camp, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Doctors have warned that without proper treatment, the infection may spread further, cause serious complications, severe weakness, kidney problems, and place her life at serious risk.
Medical history
After receiving support and medical guidance, Nazia Nusrat was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 02 May 2026 at around 5:42 PM after suffering from high fever, severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and painful urination for several days. She remained under hospital care for approximately five days and received intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and supportive treatment under the supervision of Dr. Salma Afroz. During her stay, doctors closely monitored her condition and provided medicines to control the infection and reduce her pain and fever. Nazia showed gradual improvement after treatment and was discharged on 07 May 2026 with medicines, hygiene instructions, and follow-up advice for continued recovery. Although she is still physically weak, her condition has become more stable, and her family remains hopeful for her full recovery with continued medical support.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Nazia Nusrat urgently needs IV fluids, antibiotics, and supportive treatment to control the infection and reduce her severe abdominal pain and fever. With proper treatment and close medical care, her condition is expected to improve gradually, helping her recover and return to her normal childhood activities. Doctors are carefully monitoring her to prevent the infection from spreading and causing further complications. However, if she does not receive timely treatment, the infection may become more severe, cause serious kidney complications, extreme weakness, and may become life-threatening.
