Background
Wasifa Islam Jannat is a cheerful and innocent 9-year-old girl who studies in class 2 and loves spending time with her brothers and sisters. Her father, Md. Robel Mia, works as a day laborer and struggles to support the family, making it impossible to arrange the costly hernia surgery needed for his daughter. For the last two years, Wasifa had been suffering from painful swelling on the right side of her lower abdomen, and over time the pain became worse during walking, standing, and daily activities, causing great suffering and worry for the whole family. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Jamilur Rahman, her parents brought her to Modern Hospital Pvt. Ltd. seeking urgent medical help. Without proper surgery and treatment, the hernia may become trapped inside her body, causing severe pain, blockage, and life-threatening complications.
Medical history
After hearing about the free medical services provided by Helpster Charity through the marketing team organized by Modern Hospital Pvt. Ltd., a girl named Wasifa Islam Jannat, who was suffering from a hernia, came to us on 28/04/2026. We immediately arranged for her to be examined by a doctor. After examining Wasifa Islam Jannat, the doctor decided that she needed urgent surgery. On the same day, 28/04/2026, her operation was performed successfully and completed smoothly. After the surgery, with the doctor’s proper guidance and the nurses’ regular follow-up care, she gradually recovered. On 30/04/2026, she was discharged from the hospital in healthy condition and safely returned home. Wasifa Islam Jannat’s parents and her entire family sincerely express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Helpster Charity and all the teams of Modern Hospital Pvt. Ltd. for saving their child’s life.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Wasifa Islam Jannat urgently needs herniotomy surgery under general anesthesia (GA) to repair the hernia and prevent further complications. With proper surgery and medical care, her pain, swelling, and discomfort are expected to improve gradually, helping her return to a healthy and normal childhood. Timely treatment will also prevent the hernia from becoming trapped inside the body. Without surgery, the hernia may become blocked or lose blood supply, causing severe pain, vomiting, serious infection, and life-threatening complications requiring emergency treatment.
