Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About digestion system

Rafi Hasan has been diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis with signs of dehydration, a condition caused by severe diarrhea and repeated vomiting that can quickly weaken a young child. He developed fever, excessive crying, poor physical condition, and abdominal discomfort, which made immediate medical care necessary. Due to continuous fluid loss, his body became dehydrated, putting him at risk of further complications if not treated properly. He is now receiving hospitalization, supportive therapy, fluids, and close monitoring under a physician’s supervision to help him recover safely.

Thank you for saving this life!

Seba Hospital

Hospital Gait, Zakiganj, Sylhet, P.O. Box no. 3110

Background

Rafi Hasan is a calm and gentle two-year-old boy who lives with his poor family in a small tin-made house under difficult living conditions. His father, Ashik Uddin, works as a day labourer and earns only around 6,000 BDT per month, which is not enough to support the five-member family and manage unexpected medical expenses. When Rafi became seriously ill with loose motion, repeated vomiting, fever, and excessive crying, his worried parents rushed him to Seba Hospital after he became weak from dehydration. Doctors diagnosed him with acute gastroenteritis with dehydration and admitted him for urgent treatment, fluids, and close monitoring. Without proper medical care, his dehydration could become severe and life-threatening, but the family is struggling to continue the treatment costs and came to know about Helpster Charity through volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema.

Medical history

Rafi Hasan was admitted to Seba Hospital on 05 May 2026 with a diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) with some dehydration. He received treatment under the care for 6 days. During his hospitalization, he was provided with all necessary supportive treatment and was closely monitored by doctors and nurses. He was discharged on 11 May 2026 with medical advice. At the time of discharge, the patient’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Ema and the Seba Hospital team.

Prognosis

Rafi Hasan has a strong chance of recovery with proper hospital care, fluids, medicines, and continuous monitoring. The treatment is helping his small body recover from the severe weakness caused by repeated vomiting and diarrhea, while also reducing his fever and discomfort. With proper care and nutrition, he is expected to regain his strength, become active again, and continue growing healthily like other children of his age. However, without timely treatment, the severe loss of fluids could have placed his life at serious risk, as dehydration in young children can quickly become dangerous. His hospitalization and ongoing medical support are therefore very important for his safe recovery and future well-being.
